What is the Whole30?
“Established by Dallas Hartwig and Melissa Hartwig (of Whole9) in April 2009, the Whole30® is our original nutritional program designed to change your life in 30 days. Think of it as a short-term nutritional reset, designed to help you put an end to unhealthy cravings and habits, restore a healthy metabolism, heal your digestive tract, and balance your immune system.”
Whole30® is an eating program that lasts 30 days (plus a 10 day reintroduction period) and is designed to help “push the reset button with your metabolism, systemic inflammation and the downstream effects of the food choices you’ve been making.” This program is focused on eating real, nutritious food, with guidelines of specific things to avoid. “Your only job during the Whole30® is to focus on making good food choices.” For those of you interested, we will all begin the eating program on Wednesday, January 8, through February 6, 2020.
In addition, Cindy will be facilitating a 6-week Encouragement Group for those who wish to participate in the Whole30® Program, where we can get together for support, share ideas, and a short teaching on different food groups. It will be held at the Dare to Believe Office, 2216 E. 117th Street, Burnsville, Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm – 8:15pm, January 8, 15, 22, 29, February 5, 12, 2020. Cost is $25 each (does not include optional Whole30 book). Also feel free to bring a friend or spouse with you.
