As I was browsing on social media recently, an ad popped up that featured some beautiful women’s tops – I thought they were gorgeous! I visited this company’s website and was quite surprised by what I saw. The beautiful shirts were there, but they also featured many shirts with witchcraft and demonic messages. Many of the shirts were pretty, but their message was clear!
I didn’t purchase from that company, for two reasons: 1. I don’t want to be supporting their agenda. 2. I don’t want their clothing on my body.
I was frustrated and disappointed, because I couldn’t find something similar from a more wholesome source.
“And why are you worried about clothes? See how the lilies and wildflowers of the field grow; they do not labor nor do they spin [wool to make clothing], yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory and splendor dressed himself like one of these.” – Matthew 6:28-33 (AMP)
We serve a God who crafted everything. The intricacies and beauty of God’s creation is astounding. As we represent our Creator in this life, I personally believe that our lives – what we write, sing, play, paint, draw, etc. – should reflect the creativity of our God!
How that looks will be unique to the gifts, talents and anointings He has given each of us. It will also vary based on how we have developed and practiced our giftings.
Yet all too often, Christianity and Christians’ creativity pales in comparison to the lesser counterfeit and corrupted creativity that this world displays. Can I get an “amen?!”
At Dare to Believe Ministries, we are committed to bring more creativity to every aspect of life. This involves spurring each other on to be a more excellent representation of our Creator God in every area of our lives.
Are you tired of what is being released in our culture in the name of creativity? The clothing, music, written word, spoken word, artwork, clothing…are you offended by the influence that worldly creativity has in our culture?
I encourage you to ask the Lord to teach you how to release and represent His creativity the way you were created to release and exemplify God and influence this world.
You are God’s chosen vessel to influence this world with His love and beauty.
My prayer for you is that you will learn to appreciate as King Solomon did – that kingdom authority and beauty can be released through representing our Creator God with creativity and magnificence.
